Bean Option Recap From Jon Karmin

Beans made a new contract low overnight but short covering drove prices up moderately during the day session.  There was very little passion today but on a day we could have seen some premium deterioration vol actually hung in there.  This could be an indication that traders are fearing the next wave of trade ratcheting to new price levels and don’t want to be caught short volatility.  SU options expire tomorrow and I’m told there is a fair amount of open interest in strikes in our immediate vicinity which may impede a move away from these areas until after expiration.  SV vol  SX vol  SF vol  SH vol
